Program Evaluation Services

Since its inception, SERVE Center has conducted numerous evaluation studies on educational initiatives important to the region. This work addresses a wide range of areas, including reading, technology, early childhood, expanded learning opportunities, high school reform, mathematics and science, history, total quality management, school-to-work, and site-based management.

Evaluation Capacity Building

In addition to our work in conducting contracted external evaluations, SERVE Center staff is committed to helping states, districts, and schools develop their own capacity to use data and conduct program evaluations. The Capacity to Apply Program Evaluation (CAPE) model encompasses the professional development, follow-up technical assistance, and resources provided to teachers, administrators, and education specialists to expand their understanding of evaluation practice and organizational change.
