Questions and Answers The following Questions were submitted by the Fourth Grade Students at South Park Elementary School, Vicksburg, Mississippi Allson E.: How does writing make you feel? Dr. Houston: Writing is very hard work, but it is like playing sports. Working hard really feels good when you feel you have done a good job. Thomas C. How old are you now? Dr. Houston: I am really seven years old. I just walk around in a much older body. Sam C. What is your favorite book that you've written? Dr. Houston: MY GREAT AUNT ARIZONA--picture book, MOUNTAIN VALOR--novel Callie G. What is your favorite book to read? Dr. Houston: Any one of the books I am reading right now. I have so many favorites. .. . . India S. How many books have you written that have "true" Dr. Houston: Of my 9 published books, all of them have real people I have known or heard about in them. Of my more than 30 unpublished manuscripts, even the imaginary people are based on people I have known or learned about.
