Translating and Disseminating Research

A key role for SERVE is to provide timely, useful, and relevant research to southeastern K–12 practitioners, policymakers, and state department of education officials. SERVE disseminates research through a variety of modes including its regular publications that summarize research and practice on important issues.

Tapping into external networks is a powerful way for schools, districts, states, and others to expand their knowledge base about particular improvement efforts. These networks provide a venue in which the findings from research and the wisdom of practice can be shared. Along with time to reflect on actions taken and adjustments needed, these groups provide needed encouragement and input for the continuous improvement process.
