Overview
In this project, classes will combine the study of America history and research skills to create a travel itinerary through the South that follows railways of the past and present.

Project Summary
For over one hundred fifty years, railroads have been a vital element in the expansion and settlement of the United States. They have linked once isolated areas and have been major contributors to the growth of many Southern cities.

This online project provides classes opportunities to explore the historical significance of railroads while gaining greater understandings related to the history of southern settlement.
